The conservation treatment of a Shoshone Hide Painting involved stabilizing and cleaning the object for exhibit.

  • Advised curator on the design and construction of a custom exhibit mount.
  • Removed the skin painting from an old, acidic backing board.
  • Cleaned the skin and the painted surfaces.
  • Installed the skin painting onto a new exhibit mount.
